Aven Ottmers by Sophia Lutz

“Hello, my name is Aven Ottmers. I’m a sophomore at Fredericksburg High School. I’m on the JV tennis team and in debate. I compete in UIL for debate as well as journalism. I’m involved in Interact as well as Student Council. I really enjoy the Interact club because I really love being able to volunteer and help people. Actually, on Halloween, I am going to be reading to the children at the primary school. I also do roadside cleanups and help out with community things. I think it’s so much fun to be able to be active in my community. I’m also in journalism because I really enjoy writing. I’m on the yearbook staff, and it’s one of my favorite things. I love taking pictures, and I’m super excited to see the finished yearbook this year. Outside of school, I mostly read and spend time by myself doing homework. I work at a winery, and I really love what I do. I also enjoy being outdoors, but most of my weekends are spent either with my friends or by myself.”
