The freshmen basketball team took on the Boerne Greyhounds on the Billies home court on Jan. 25. This was a highly anticipated game against the Billies rival school, but the Billies were the ones who came out on top with the 51-33 win and remained undefeated in district at 5-0.

Ethan Sanchez led the way for the Billies, as he racked up 19 points, and Javier Rodriguez was second in points with 10. Kade Jenschke and Cole Immel finished close behind with nine each, and Judson Beard and Luke DiCuffa each scored two.

“We played really well defensively, especially late in the game, and took care of the ball well enough to get good looks in the half court offense,” Coach Adam Riley said.

The Billies are currently currently 7-1 in district, with their only loss being against Wimberley on the road. They look to use that loss as fuel and finish the season as district champions.
