One Act
September 14, 2023
UIL One Act Play is the theater group that competes during the spring with an approved play that the members have worked on all throughout the year. The students learn to get out of their comfort zone and make their acting more realistic and captivating as well as how to work with backstage sound and light effects. The group meets every day during the period as well as after school rehearsals as needed.
“One Act is about creating a family ensemble throughout the year. We take a show and cut it down to a one act story of our own to showcase onstage. We take our show to contest in the spring stressing that the whole experience is the most meaningful take-away from our journey together.” – Mrs. Minjauw, Director.
