The Billies faced off against the Llano Yellow-Jackets on Jan. 18 in a game that wasn’t close from the start. The Billies managed to outscore the Yellow-Jackets in all four quarters, which led to an 84-32 win and helped them improve to 18-0 on the season.

“We had a great shooting night making 15 three pointers and scoring 84 points. We had great games out of every person on the floor. If they didn’t score, then they played great defense or rebounded well,” Coach Randall Watson said. “We were up big at half and then really played well to start the third quarter. We really played good team basketball.”

Joshua Wienecke led the team in scoring with 14 points. Jayden Sanchez quickly followed with 11, and Colby Brasher and Jorge Marin each had 10. Cade McBee and Dillon Rabon both put up nine for the Billies. Matthew Monger scored eight and Will Cooke had four.

The Billies are currently 4-0 in district play and look to continue their hot streak against Boerne on Jan. 25. This is a rival game, but the Billies hope to come out on top to improve to 20-0.
